Black and White

Jumper - River Island - £40

Excuse how awfully these are taken.. in a mirror. but wanted to share the new jumper i splurged on today. I don't usually spend much money on clothes because the past few months i don't recall buying anything from topshop, river island, UO or H&M, only charity shops. but i spotted this and i was like MINE. hehehe. its so big and comfy and will go with pretty much anything.. apart from other patterned things haha.

Wranglers

Bought some new jeans today. Originally planned to cut  them into shorts, but I'm still stuck. They were £4 Wrangler jeans from a charity store - high waisted and straight leg. They really aren't flattering as you can probably tell but i like them as a change and they go with my Chelsea boots. soooooo I'm gonna avoid cutting them for about 2 weeks, and if i haven't worn them by then i will make shorts out of them.

moving on, moving on.

Random furniture outside! i wonder what happens when it rains?!

This is one of my favourite little vintage stores down the end of an alley. so cute, and such amazing clothes.

Kimono - random cheap shop in my town
Crimson belt - 50p, charity store
shorts - £3, charity store
Doc Martens - £10, charity store!
Sunglasses - H&M

I wore completely the wrong clothes today as i thought it was going to be wet and rainy, but it was actually boiling! these are photos from a walk, i walked about 5 miles and now my legs ache. Stopped off in this really pretty cafe place which was an old church, the atmosphere was so nice. really happy with my docs, all i need now is cat eye sunglasses!

Hold on to your kite

Perfect day. Felt like a bit of charity shopping so i went into town. I only thought there were 2 charity stores, but actually i found 4! Only just started looking through the racks of shoes and an 'Airwair' label catches my eye. Couldn't believe it. These little beasts had to be mine!

They are a bit big, but i had to buy them. Not everyday do you see Doc Martens in a good condition for only £10! I have bought 3 sets of insoles to make them fit, and they surprisingly do! so happy right now!

don't mess with my ego

Burgundy waistcoat - vintage
Black vest - H&M
Belt - Mum's
Shorts - Charity store and cut up
Socks - Topshop
Chelsea Boots - Topshop
Green slouch hobo bag - Festival
Brown fringe bag - Vintage

Sorry for the excessive amount of photos but was feeling a bit arty, plus it was raining so took loads really quickly, haha. Absolutely love my burgundy waistcoat which was a great find at a vintage store for only a fiver.
My hair is currently ombré but it doesnt show up well on this camera.
Good day with my sister,  woke up early to go to the first viewing of the 'inbetweener's movie' but because i didnt have ID i couldn't get in, gutted. could have had 2 more hours sleep!

Foxy Lady

So much love for foxtails right now. Faux fur is in the Autumn, so this is the perfect way to renew your old bags. I recently found some foxtails in a highstreet store but they seemed a bit cheap. Gonna get down and dirty with some hardcore ebay hunting, hopefully going to find a bargain!

Sweet Disposition

No words can describe this song. The lyrics are amazing.
Sweet disposition - The Temper Trap

I'm obsessed with the mess that's America

This bustier is absolute perfection! I recently found it online but i have no source of income so i have no money to buy it. May have to suck up to my dad for a bit for access to his wallet! I love how it's beautiful on the front and then loud stars and stripes on the back. its perfect.

Pigeons & Peacocks

Since 2008, The London College of Fashion have excelled themselves by producing this striking annual magazine. I recently purchased Issue 4, and i definitely wasn't disappointed. Flicking through the thick pages is amazing as the colourful spreads and black and white images fall into place perfectly. The articles are just the same, such a better read than all the simple and unexciting magazine articles found today, when no one isn't actually that bothered who is getting engaged with who.

If you ever spot this magazine in any shop, don't hesitate to buy it. Every time i browse through i get inspired by so many different elements. I simply cannot wait until the next issue, which I'm sure will exceed all my expectations.

Shake it like a Polaroid Picture

There is something about a Polaroid that completely changes a photo, making it seem so still, but yet showing life.  I must get my hands on a Polaroid camera, i love how they instantly picture a moment and portray such a vintage/retro feel.

Absolutely inspired by the Westlicht's Collection of Polaroids. Over 350 Polaroids have been displayed for the public to admire, with artists ranging from Andy Warhol to Ansel Adams. What's not to love? However this exhibition is in the States, and I am stuck in England.  One day I will live in America.

Double Eye Ring - Topshop
Dreamcatcher Earrings - Music Festival

Just messing around with my dad's camera. These are two of my favourite items of jewellery at the moment. I have been eyeing up the ring (no pun intended) for a while and i had to buy it, currently wearing it now. The earrings are so nice but would love them if the feathers were real. hey ho, well thats my first post. i will try and keep this baby alive.
Never thought i'd be starting a fashion blog but here's my attempt at one. To be honest i have wanted to start one for a while, but i thought i would  be useless at keeping it updated - but i'll give it a shot.

My name is Holly and I am from South East England. Im into all kinds of music and I love polaroids and black and white.I shop from wherever i can, but i mainly buy from vintage stores. Why 'fashion-smoke'? i dont actually know, just sounded catchy and i like it.  Hope you enjoy the blog!
